ABOUT THE ARTIST
Carol Lee Heisler-Lawson is a self-taught quilter. Born in 1965 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Carol took to art as soon as she was able to hold a crayon. Throughout her childhood, Carol developed an appreciation for fabric when she began sewing at the early age of six. She would often visit fabric stores with her mother and paternal grandmother and dream of one day owning just a small piece of each of the calico fabrics. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Carol’s life would be centered upon her passion for art. After high school, Carol attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she earned a BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Art History and a secondary concentration in Fibers.
Carol is now a professional artist full-time. She lives in East Norriton, Pennsylvania and works from a studio in her home.
